# WebUI v2 and Local WebUI

The web interface lets you browse, create, mount, rename, link, download and delete cards, view play statistics and change every setting. It comes in two forms. Choose with **Menu > WebUI Mode**; the device restarts.

## WebUI v2 (default)

Open <https://memcard.pro> on any device on the same network. The site finds your MemCard PRO2 through a secure connection and talks to it directly. Nothing is stored on the internet.

The full guide to WebUI v2 is in [MCP WebUI 2.0](https://www.8bitmods.wiki/mcp-webui-20).

## Local WebUI

The device serves a simpler web app itself from the `os/webui` folder on your storage. Open the IP address shown under **Menu > WiFi** in a browser. Use this when the device cannot reach the internet, or if you prefer not to use memcard.pro.

The Local WebUI has a **Save** button on the settings page; WebUI v2 applies settings immediately.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://8bitmods.gitbook.io/manuals/wireless/webui.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
