# Troubleshooting

| Symptom                                    | What to check                                                                                                 |
| ------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| The adapter does not switch on | Charge it. See [Charging and battery](/manuals/bitlink-dc-adapter/getting-started/charging.md). |
| The LEDs keep swooshing green | The dongle is in 2.4G mode and its LED is green. Pair them again: press the button on each. |
| The controller does not respond in a game | The adapter's cable is plugged in fully at both ends. |
| There is no rumble | Vibration is turned on in the game's options. Air mouse is off. The adapter is not in Bluetooth gamepad mode. |
| The VMU is not used | It is in the front slot, not the rear one. Wait for **SYNC** to finish. |
| A mouse game does not respond to Air mouse | Plug the dongle into port A. |
| The adapter does not switch off | It is on USB power. Unplug the cable first. |
| A computer cannot find the gamepad | The LEDs are blue. Press the power button once to forget old pairings, then pair again. |
| The WebUI cannot find the adapter | Press the power button three times. Use Chrome or Edge. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://8bitmods.gitbook.io/manuals/bitlink-dc-adapter/reference/troubleshooting.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
